This Privacy Policy describes how NTT DOCOMO, INC. (the “Company”) will handle your personal information in relation to your installation and use of the Japanese Language Training AI (the “Application”).
From time to time, the Company may need to make changes to this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Company’s services, how the Company does business, or because of changes to the law. The Company will endeavour to notify you of any material changes to this Privacy Policy.
“Personal information” means any information or opinion about you from which you can be reasonably identified, whether or not it is correct or recorded in some material form.
If you install and use the Application, the Company may collect the following personal information about you:
• recordings of your voice (including any personal information you disclose in those recordings) if you use the voice recording feature of the Application; and
• operational information about how you use the Application, such as the screens you have displayed and any menu selections you make within the Application.
The above information must generally be collected in order for you to use the Application.
If you are using the Application as part of a company training program, you are able to use some optional features of the Application by inputting your company ID to the Application. In this case, the Company may also collect the following personal information about you.
• the Japanese translation of the contents of the speech at the timing of creating conversational text if you have set a company ID to the Application; and
• the contents of your speech converted to text at the timing of the expression practice if you have set a company ID to the Application.
In general, the Company will collect all of the above personal information directly from you when you input it into the Application. The Company may also collect your personal information if you contact us through our website or other communication channels (including email, telephone, or social media).
The Company primarily collects your personal information so that it can:
• provide you with all of the features of the Application (including the voice recognition, translation processing, and voice synthesis feature);
• evaluate and improve the functions of the Application and enhance the quality of the services the Company provides;
• measure, analyse, and examine any errors or malfunctions in the Application; and
• develop new products and services, or new functions within the Application.
In some cases, the Company may need to collect, hold, or use your personal information for a more specific purpose not listed in section 2 above. In such cases, the Company will generally take steps to notify you of those specific purposes at or before the time it collects your personal information (or as soon as practicable after is collects your personal information).
In the course of the Company’s business, the Company may need to share your personal information with third parties for one or more of the purposes set out in section 2 above.
The Company may share your personal information with:
• Google LLC in the United States, in connection with the Company’s use of the Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics services;
• third party service providers that the Company engages to store or process data on the Company’s behalf (including third party server providers such as Google LLC);
• Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation, in connection with the Company’s use of RECAIUS services;
• the Company’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies;
• a purchaser in connection with the sale, acquisition, or re-organisation of any part of the Company’s business; and
• other third parties where the Company is required or permitted by law to share your personal information with those third parties.
Some of the entities mentioned above may be located outside Australia or your country of residence. In general, the Company will only share your personal information with the above entities for the purposes set out in section 2 of this Privacy Policy. The contents of your speech converted to text at the timing of expression practice in the case where you have set a company ID to the Application, will not be provided or sent to any third parties and will only be sent to the Company’s server.
The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that any third parties located overseas handle your personal information in accordance with this Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws, unless the Company is otherwise required or permitted by law to share your personal information with the third party.
You have the right under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) to:
• request access to any personal information the Company holds about you;
• request corrections to any personal information the Company holds about you if you believe the information is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading; or
• make a complaint if you believe the Company has contravened the Privacy Collection Notice, this Privacy Policy, or any other requirements of the Privacy Act.

The Company takes all privacy complaints seriously and will aim to resolve any complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

NTT DOCOMO, INC. (the “Company”) sets forth this privacy policy for the application (the “Privacy Policy of the Application”), and endeavors to protect the personal data of Users in order to have the personal data of the Users be provided by the customers, and to implement smooth provision of services related to the Application (the “Services”), through the application for smartphones that the Company provides, namely, “Japanese Language Training AI,” (the “Application”) and the Services. In the Privacy Policy of the Application, the term “personal data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that personal data, or from that data and other information to which the Company has or is likely to have access, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time. Unless specified otherwise, all capitalized terms shall bear the same meanings as ascribed to them in the “Terms of Use of Japanese Language Training AI Application”
By using the Application, you are consenting to the terms set out herein. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy of the Application, do not use the Application.
(1) The personal data of the users that the Company may collect via the Application and use is as follows. The Company acquires the personal data of the Users automatically via the Application or by having the User enter it by hand.
(2) The use of the User’s personal data for the Application and the Services are as set forth above. If provided otherwise in this “Privacy Policy” or Terms provided separately by the Company or other agreements between the customers and the Company, the Company may utilize the User’s personal data within the scope of the purposes described therein.
(3) The Company may utilize the personal data of the Users that the Company appropriately collected by ways other than the Application in order to provide the Application and the Services. Also, by combining the Users’ personal data and those pieces of personal information, the Company may utilize such information within the scope of the purposes set out above.
All of the personal data of the Users shall be used for the purposes set out herein.
The Company will only retain a User’s personal data for only as long as there is a business or legal need. In the event that retention of personal data is no longer necessary for any business or legal purposes or when the purpose for which the personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of the User’s personal data, the Company will remove, destroy or anonymise the User’s personal data. However, the Company will not store or retain the personal data of the Users described in Article 1(1) item (iii) above.
The Company and its authorized staff can access to the User’s personal data. The personal data provided to or collected by the Company shall be stored on secure servers. The Company also has security measures in place to protect against unauthorized access, loss, misuse and alteration of personal data under its control. However, please note that the Company will not be held liable or responsible for any loss, misuse or alteration of personal data that may be caused by third parties.
Users may contact our data protection officer (whose contact is set forth in Article 10 below) for accessing and modifying their personal data.
If a User wishes to inquire about the way in which that User’s personal data has been used or disclosed by the Company in the past year, or wishes to withdraw consent to the use of such personal data, the User may contact our data protection officer (whose contact is set forth in Article 10 below) and the Company will seek to attend to such request as best as it reasonably can.
Please note:
• In order for the Company to provide any personal data, the Company will need to verify the User’s identity and may request further information about the User’s request.
• The Company may refuse access to the User’s personal data if it would affect the privacy rights of other persons or if it breaches any confidentiality that attaches to that information.
• The Company may also refuse the User’s request where the Company is legally permitted to do so.
• The User should be aware that the Company may take a reasonable time to process your application for access as we may need to retrieve the relevant personal data from storage and review such personal data in order to determine what personal data may be provided.
• Please also note that if a User withdraw his or her consent to the Company’s use and/or disclosure of his or her personal data, the Company may not be in a position to continue providing its products or services to that User or perform any contract the Company may have with that User.
• Kindly note that the Company may have to charge the User a reasonable administrative fee for retrieving that User’s personal data.
The Company collects the Users’ personal data as described in the preceding paragraph by the information collection module below that is incorporated in the Application. The information collection module means a program provided by a third party which has functions for collecting and analyzing the Users’s personal data. By combining the Users’ personal data acquired through the information collection modules and the IDs that identify individual Users, the Company may add information on attributes and the like of the Users, and use such information. The personal data of the Users described in Article 1(1) item (iv) will not be transferred or disclosed to any third parties.
If any User does not agree to the above contents, he or she shall not be permitted to use the Application.
User’s personal data will not be sent or provided to a third party except for the cases in each of the following items:
In addition, and for the purposes set out herein, the Company may transfer Users’ personal data collected through the Application to servers or third parties outside of Singapore. The Company will also ensure that Users’ personal data that is transferred outside of Singapore shall be protected to a standard comparable to the protection under the PDPA, and that organisations the Company works with outside of Singapore in respect of such personal data shall observe strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Each User shall be given an opportunity to confirm the content of the Privacy Policy of the Application and grant consent to the collection, use, disclosure and storage of his or her personal data when installing the Application. By using the Application, you are consenting to the terms set out herein. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not use the Application. The Privacy Policy of the Application is disclosed on the distribution website of the Application (https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/japanese-language-training-ai/id1441272489).
If the User wishes to stop the Company’s collection of personal data, please uninstall the Application. For User’s personal data that has already been acquired at the timing of uninstalling it, the Company may continue to utilize such information within the scope set forth in the storage period as set forth in Article 3 unless the User has the right to stop or delete it under the applicable laws and executes such right.
If any User has any opinions or requests with regard to the Company’s collection, use, disclosure or storage of the Users’ personal data in the Application and the Services, please contact our personal data protection officer via the contact details set out below.

The Company may amend the Privacy Policy of the Application from time to time along with any updates to the Application. For the details of any amendments, please see the Privacy Policy of the Application accompanying any new version of the Application.
The governing language of the Privacy Policy of the Application shall be Japanese. Any English or other translations hereof are made for reference purposes, and in the event of any conflict between the Japanese language version and any other language version, the Japanese language version shall prevail.

株式会社NTTドコモ(以下、「当社」といいます。)は、当社が提供するスマートフォン用アプリケーション「Japanese Language Training AI」(以下、「本アプリ」といいます。)及び本アプリに関するサービス(以下、「本サービス」といいます。)を通じて、お客様の個人データをご提供いただき、本サービスの円滑な提供を実施させていただくために、アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシー(以下、「本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシー」といいます。)を定め、お客様の個人データの保護に努めます。
本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーにおいて、「個人データ」とは、真偽を問わず、当該個人データから、又は随時更新され得る当社の記録内のデータを含む当社がアクセスする若しくはアクセスし得るデータ及びその他の情報から特定することができる個人についてのあらゆるデータを指します。別段の指定がない限り、大文字で始まる用語はすべて、「Japanese Language Training AIアプリ利用規約」における用語と同一の意味をもつものとします。
本アプリを利用することで、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーの規定に同意したものとみなします。本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーの規定に同意しない場合は、本アプリを利用しないでください。
(1)当社が本アプリ経由で収集して利用する可能性があるお客様の個人データは以下のとおりです。当社は、お客様の個人データを本アプリ経由で自動的に取得し、又はお客様の手入力により登録していただくことにより取得します。
(2)本アプリ及び本サービスにおけるお客様の個人データの利用目的は上記に定めるとおりです。当社は、当社が別に定めるこの「プライバシーポリシー」、本規約その他お客様と当社の間の契約において別段の定めがある場合には、お客様の個人データを、これらに記載の目的の範囲で利用することがあります。
(3)当社は、本アプリ及び本サービスの提供のために、本アプリ以外で当社が適正に収集したお客様の個人データを利用することがあります。また、当社はお客様の個人データとこれらの個人情報とを組み合わせた上で、上記に定める目的の範囲で利用することがあります。
全てのお客様の個人データは、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーに定める目的のために利用されます。
当社は、事業上の又は法的な必要性がある場合にのみ、お客様の個人データを保持します。事業上の又は法的な目的のために個人データを保持することが不要となった場合、又はお客様の個人データの保持が個人データの収集目的のために不要となった場合、当社は、お客様の個人データを削除、破棄又は匿名化します。ただし、1.(1)に記載の■収集するお客様の個人データ③は、蓄積・保管しません。
当社及び権限が与えられた当社の従業員が、お客様の個人データにアクセスすることができます。当社に対して提供された又は当社が収集した個人データは、安全なサーバーに保管されるものとします。当社は、個人データの不正アクセス、紛失、誤用及び改変を当社の管理下で保護するためのセキュリティ対策を有しています。ただし、第三者が原因で起こり得る個人データのいかなる紛失、誤用又は改変に関しても、当社は一切責任を負いません。
お客様は、個人データにアクセス又は個人データを修正したい場合、当社のデータ保護責任者に問い合わせをすることができます(問い合わせ先は以下の第10条に定められています。)。
お客様の個人データが過去に当社によって利用又は開示された方法について問い合わせを希望する場合、又はかかる個人データ利用の同意への取り消しを希望する場合、お客様は、当社のデータ保護責任者に問い合わせをすることが可能です(問い合わせ先は以下の第10条に定められています。)。これを受けて、当社は、合理的に可能な範囲で最大限、ご要望に応えるよう努めます。
以下にご留意ください。
・当社が個人データを提供するために、当社は、当該個人データに係る個人とお客様の同一性を確かめる必要があり、またお客様のご要望について更なる情報を求める場合があります。
・当社は、お客様の個人データへのアクセスが他の人々のプライバシー権に影響を及ぼす場合、又は当該アクセスがその情報に付随する守秘義務に違反する場合、お客様の個人データへのアクセスを拒否することがあります。
・当社はまた、法的に認められた場合、お客様の要求を拒否することがあります。
・当社が、お客様に提供する個人データを決定するために、関連する個人データをストレージから回収し、レビューする必要がある場合があります。お客様のアクセスに関する申請を処理する合理的な時間を必要とする場合があることにご留意ください。
・また、お客様がご自身の個人データの当社による利用及び/又は開示に対する同意を取り消す場合、当社が当該お客様に対して当社の製品若しくはサービスの提供を続けることができない、又は、当社が当該お客様と交わした可能性がある一切の契約を履行することができない場合があることにご留意ください。
・当社は、お客様の個人データを回収するために、当該お客様に対して合理的な範囲で手数料を請求する場合がありますので、ご留意下さい。
当社は、前項に記載のお客様の個人データを、本アプリ内に組み込まれた下記の情報収集モジュールにて収集します。情報収集モジュールとは、第三者が提供するプログラムであって、お客様の個人データを収集・解析するための機能をもつものをいいます。なお、当社は情報収集モジュールで取得したお客様の個人データを、お客様個人を識別するIDと組み合わせた上で、お客様の属性情報等を付加し、利用する場合があります。1.(1)に記載の■収集するお客様の個人データ④は、第三者へ提供及び送信することはありません。
お客様が上記内容に同意しない場合、本アプリを利用してはならないものとします。
お客様の個人データは、以下各号に定める場合を除き、第三者に送信され、又は提供されることはありません。
また、当社は、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーに定める目的のために、本アプリ経由で収集したお客様の個人データをシンガポール国外のサーバー又は第三者に転送する場合があります。当社は、シンガポール国外に転送されるお客様の個人データがシンガポールの個人情報保護法に基づく保護と同じ水準で保護されることも保証し、またかかる個人データに関して当社と協働するシンガポール国外の機関が厳格な守秘義務とデータ保護規則を遵守することを保証します。
お客様は、本アプリをインストールする際に、ご自身の個人データの収集、利用、開示及び保管に対する本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーの内容を確認し、同意を付与する機会が与えられます。本アプリを利用することで、お客様は、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーの規定に同意したものとみなします。本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーの規定に同意しない場合は、本アプリを利用しないでください。また、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーは本アプリケーションの配信サイト上に公開いたします(https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/japanese-language-training-ai/id1441272489)。
当社による個人データ収集停止を希望される場合には、本アプリをアンインストールしてください。なお、アンインストール時点で既に取得済みの個人データについては、お客様が適用ある法律に基づき個人データ収集の停止及び個人データの削除を行う権利を有し、かつかかる権利を行使しない限り、当社は、第3条に定める保管期間の間に定める範囲で引き続き利用することがあります。
本アプリ及び本サービスにおけるお客様の個人データの当社による収集、利用、開示又は保管に関して、ご意見・ご要望がございましたら、下記に記載する窓口を通じて当社のデータ保護責任者までご連絡くださいますようお願いします。

当社は、本アプリのアップデートに伴って、本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーを随時変更することがあります。変更内容については、新バージョンのアプリケーションに付随するアプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーをご参照ください。
本アプリケーション・プライバシーポリシーは、日本語を正文とします。英語その他の言語による翻訳文は、参考のために作成されたものであり、また日本語版とその他の言語版との間で不一致が生じた場合、日本語版がが優先されるものとします。
